Taking Out the Trash Fest 2026

In February 2026, I was a vender at Trash Tape Records' annual festival. In addition to selling stickers, bookmarks, and tapestries, I did live caricature drawings for attendees, even though it meant missing out on some of Chicago's best bands. Leading up to the three-day fest, I helped my frieends at Trash Tape with decorations and cd drawings. Eilee and I collaborated on an epic quilt-adjacent tapesty sewn onto an old shower curtain, as well as the event's flyer. I had so much fun being a part of this grand celebration of DIY in Chicago.

Kickball Conglomerate

Starting in the spring of 2025, my friends and I organized a kickball league for the young hooligans of our community who maybe didn't find enjoyment in gym class during their elementary days. We made our own rules! We encouraged participants to create their own jerseys and hosted a craft night where we had sewing machines to help. Of course, the jerseys were exceptionally unique and sometimes costume-ish. Everyone got to pick a walk-up song, which added to the theatrics. Further into the summer, we busted out the grill, and there was a learning curve. Even though it was all in the spirit of fun, the games still got quite competitive. Our last game of the year was in October, and doubled as a music video shoot for Sacred Heart Academy. We hope "indie rock kickball" will be bigger and better than ever this coming summer!
